WINTER RENTAL: Granite Cottage is a charming rental located in Rockport's quaint Pigeon Cove neighborhood. From the parking area, walk up about 10 steps to its private deck with water views and enter the cathedral ceilinged living/dining room that flows into the galley kitchen with laundry and then queen bedroom. Nicely furnished. In it's history, the cottage was the blacksmith's shed where the oxen, working the nearby granite quarries, were shod. Vestiges can be seen throughout the house and in the adjacent exterior courtyard, once the floor of the oxen barn. Just down the street from the MBTA train to Boston and a short distance to all Rockport has to offer including year round restaurants and shops and the Shalin Liu Performance Center.
